What it does
Calls.
See who’s calling, then answer or decline from your wrist. Talk on your iPhone or its headphones.
Workouts.
Heart rate, steps, distance and workouts from your watch, saved to Apple Health.
Music.
Play, pause, skip and change the volume of whatever your iPhone is playing.
Notifications.
Every iPhone notification on your watch, with the actions it offers, such as dismiss.
Pair once. Then forget it.
Install Crossband on your watch and your iPhone.
Pair them once over Bluetooth. The apps walk you through it.
Notifications, calls and music come straight from iOS, even with the iPhone app closed. Health data waits on the watch and goes to Apple Health whenever they’re back in range.

You need an Android phone once, to set up the watch. After that, it’s your watch and your iPhone.

Questions.
Can I reply to messages from my watch?
Not to iMessage or SMS. iOS doesn’t let any third-party watch send replies, so no app can offer it. You can read every notification and use the actions it offers, such as dismiss.
Do I still need an Android phone?
Only for the first setup. Pixel and Galaxy watches have to be set up with an Android phone. After that you pair the watch with your iPhone through Crossband and can put the Android phone away.
Does the iPhone app have to stay open?
No. Notifications, calls, media control and time sync use Bluetooth services built into iOS, so they keep working when the Crossband app is closed. Health sync uses the app, which iOS wakes in the background unless you’ve force-quit it. If you have, health data waits on the watch until you next open the app.
What health data does Crossband sync?
Heart rate, steps, distance and workouts, from your watch to Apple Health. You choose which types to allow in iOS. Data recorded while your phone is out of range is sent when you’re back in range.
